DESCRIPTION:The 2010 Wes Lepard Start! Heart Walk is an annual 5K non-competitive family walking event designed to bring public awareness to physical activity and a heart-healthy lifestyle\, while at the same time\, raising the critical dollars needed to fund the life-saving research and educational community programs of the American Heart Association.  Walkers from all over Cameron County come out to support the fight against our country's leading causes of death – heart disease and stroke.  .\n\nParticipating in the American Heart Walk is easy as tying your shoes!  Walk as a part of your company team or form your own team with family and friends.  Set a goal to raise $150 per walker and ask your friends\, family and people you do business with to support you by giving you a donation towards the AHA.\n\nFor more information on registering\, check out our on-line registration and fundraising website and see how easy it is to join a team or start your own team.
