DESCRIPTION:The Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce along with the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District will host the 2014-2015 Youth Leadership Recognition Luncheon at Jackson Square Event Center on Saturday\, April 25\, 2015 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.\n\n \n\nHigh School students have been learning more about Harlingen and what makes and effective community. After completing five sessions that began in October\, the 2014-2015 class of Youth Leadership Harlingen is being recognized for their hard work and dedication. Students applied to participate in the class and were selected based on their interest in learning more about being a trustee of their community. They discussed topics ranging from social services to business.  They learned new leadership skills\, including problem solving and teamwork. They discovered more about city government and city services. And best of all\, they had fun!\n\n \n\nWhether they become business leaders\, agency directors\, medical professionals or full time volunteers\, these students are prepared to take on leadership roles both now and in the future.
