DESCRIPTION:A free "Know Your Numbers" Diabetes Walk \nSaturday\, November 12  Registration begins at 7 a.m.\n Off 77 Sunshine Strip in Harlingen \nFree blood sugar testing by Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen. Free testing will also be available after the walk\, to measure the effect that exercise has on lowering blood sugar.   \nSpeaker at the event will be Dr. Alfredo Garcia\, Endocrinologist and Medical Director of the Valley Baptist-Harlingen Diabetes Education Center. Participants can choose to walk one\, two\, or three miles. T-shirts will be given to the first 300 registered walkers\, and the first 100 to register will also receive a free pedometer. To register\, call 1-888-902-5433 (LIFE). Registration will also be available on site the morning of the event.
