SUMMARY:Battle of the Bands at TSTC
DESCRIPTION:Eight of the first-rate\, hottest rock 'n' roll bands from the Rio Grande Valley will perform live at Texas State Technical College Harlingen.\n \nThe eight bands vying for honors include Lucid Decree\, Bionicore\, CANE\, Blu Pilosky\, The Shrimp Shack Shooters\, Seven\, Immortal Guardian\, and Adrenochrome. There will be a special performance by The AliCat Project. The event is sponsored by The Fanatics Club\, TSTC and radio station Q94.5 The Rock. First place will receive $500 and open for a major concert in the Valley\, $300 for second place\, and $200 for third place. The Fan Trophy will be awarded based upon crowd applause. Cherijohn's will provide the special sound system equipment.\n \nThis event will assist the RGV Food Bank because admission is either a canned food item per person or a $2 per person contribution to the RGV Food Bank.\n \nFor additional information or directions to the quad\, please contact TSTC Marketing Director Keri Gutierrez at 956.456.1125.
