This event is free and open to the public.\n\nOctober is Domestic Violence Awareness Month\, and unfortunately there is not a way to disguise the severity and impact of domestic violence in the lives of thousands of women\, men\, and children every day. Unfortunately\, the State of Texas had a total of 142 victims who were killed by their intimate partner and the Rio Grande Valley was not an exception.
