DESCRIPTION:Tech Prep of the Rio Grande Valley and the Lower Rio Grande Valley P-16 Council are pleased to announce the coming celebration of GenTX Day on Friday May 4.  This day is for EVERYONE in the state -- parents\, students\, school district and college employees\, community members\, business people\, etc.  to wear their favorite college T-shirts to show Rio Grande Valley students our united support for higher education and for Generation TX.  Please join in on this statewide endeavor supported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and our Lower Rio Grande P-16 Council.\n \nJoin In - Wear a College T-shirt!  Wearing your favorite college T-shirt is fun and easy to do\, and when we all do it together we send a powerful message. Imagine if every person across Texas wears a college T-shirt on GenTX Day.  Students will see people all around them united in their belief in higher education. Wearing a college T-shirt invites conversations for people to share their own personal stories\, choices\, and careers - conversations that could inspire and change a student's life.  \nThe students of Generation TX will be the next leaders of Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. GenTX Day celebrates and congratulates the students of Generation TX-especially graduating seniors.
