Bentsen Palm Dr. Mission TX\, 78572\n(956) 584-9156\n\nHoliday Family Fun Day at the Park\nSaturday\, December 19th 2009 \n11:00 AM – 3:00 PM\n\n\nBentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park\nInvites YOU to \n~A Special Holiday Fun Day for the Whole Family ~\n\nChristmas is a great time of the year to visit any Texas State Park!\nThis is the time to get outdoors and share the nature sounds of the season.\nCome join us in celebrating the holidays here at Bentsen state Park!  \n\nPlease join us for a fun day celebrating the magic of the holiday season outdoors! \nEnjoy all the activities for the kids as well as for the adults events include\;\nFamily Hawk Watch 9am – 12pm\nFamily activities: picture opportunity with Santa (bring your camera)\, Caroling by La Joya High School\, Scavenger hunts\, Puppet show\, Crafts\, Games\, Tram tours\, Nature walks\, touch table and much more.\nAfter a long day of family diversion or just enjoying of a beautiful day\, please come in and sit in the park's Café with great view to the gardens and enjoy wildlife watching from the comfort of our air conditioned facility\, while savoring of a smoothie\, sandwich\, cookie\, ice cream and other delicious treats for sale.   \n \nPre-registration is required for this event. Please call 956-584-9156 to pre-register and get additional information about this event and other programs the park has to offer. Bring your kites\, binoculars\, and bug spray for an afternoon-time full of fun and adventure. Reservations required. Please call 956-584-9156.\n\nThis Program is included with park admission.\nPark Admission \n$5 per person over 13\; \n$12 and under free\;\n$3 TX residents 65+ yrs old\; \nTexas State Park Passport $60- free admission to all 90+ state parks throughout the entire state for the entire family for an entire year. \n\nPLEASE NOTE: In the event of unforeseen inclement severe weather these programs will be cancelled

LOCATION:Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park Mission\, Texas 78572 Take Expressway 83 West from McAllen Get off the expressway at the La Homa and Bentsen Palm Dr. Go through the first light (La Homa Rd) and then turn south (left) at the second light\, which is Bentsen Palm Dr. Go 4 miles south on Bentsen Palm Drive. Park in the Vistor’s parking lot on the left. The park store is in the round metal roof building on the right. Directions: From Places EAST of Mission\, Take US Hwy 83 West to Bentsen Palm Drive. Exit\, go south on Bentsen Palm Drive for about 2.5 miles. The visitor center and bus parking circle is on the west side of the road and the parking for parents and visitors is on the east side of the road.
