SUMMARY:MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY TO AID HARLINGEN ANIMAL SHELTER
DESCRIPTION:National Make A Difference Day will be held at the Harlingen Humane Society Shelter from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday\, October 24th. The site for the event has changed to a beautification and resupply event at the animal shelter\, 1106 Markowsky Ave. TSTC students and employees\, Keep Harlingen Beautiful / Harlingen Proud volunteers\, other groups\, and local citizens to plant trees and flowers outdoors\, shampoo pets\, walk dogs\, clean kennels\, and revitalize the facility. Volunteers should register in advance with Student Life Director Adele Clinton at adele.clinton@harlingen.tstc.edu.  Volunteers or others are asked to bring a donation of dog or cat food\, puppy or kitten food\, canned animal food\, dog treats and rawhide\, chewable toys\, copy paper\, pens and pencils\, mineral oil\, hydrogen peroxide\, old towels and wash cloths and clean blankets.  Registration will be from 7:30 AM to 8 AM and the project will go from 8 AM until noon.
