SUMMARY:Marine Military Academy Graduates 54 from Introductory Training
DESCRIPTION:The Marine Military Academy (MMA) hosts a parade and recognition presentation on\nSaturday\, 19 September 2009\, beginning at 10 a.m. on the MMA Parade Grounds directly in front of the Iwo\nJima Memorial. The event recognizes MMA's 54 new cadets\, also referred to as ‘plebes'\, as they graduate\nfrom four weeks of introductory training and become official members of MMA's Corps of Cadets. Following\nthe posting of the colors and singing of the National Anthem\, all plebes will be recognized and take their official\nOath of a Marine Military Academy Cadet. The plebes will then affix their insignia to their covers (hats) and pass in review for the first time as full-fledged Marine Military Academy Cadets. Reviewing Officer will be Brigadier General Stephen A. Cheney\, USMC (Ret)\, President of the Academy.  MMA extends an invitation to the media - Newspaper\, Radio\, TV - and the general public to attend this auspicious parade and recognition presentation. Bleacher seating is limited\; lawn chairs are welcome.
