DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in government contracting\, but are not sure how to respond to advertised Request for Proposals (RFPs)? \n\n''Responding to RFPs\,'' a FREE workshop sponsored by the Rio South Texas Regional Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at The University of Texas-Pan American\, walks participants through the common sections and clauses of an RFP.  \n\nThe session is scheduled for April 28 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce\, located at 311 E. Tyler in Harlingen.  \n\nPTAC Director Mark Winchester encourages business owners to nail down their process of thinking\, organizing\, and presenting information when responding to RFPs. ''Being detailed and precise on all sections of RFPs is critical to winning contracts\,'' he adds.  \n\nThe session also covers reviewing the solicitation package for the selected RFP\; examining the details of the document\; explaining common contract clauses\; identifying common mistakes\; and providing tips on the process of developing a proposal\n\nTo register for this seminar\, please contact the Chamber at 956/ 423-5440.
