DESCRIPTION:Welcome Reception October 21\, 2009 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center\, Room 101.  Summit\nOctober 22\, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center\, Exhibit Hall B.  The Office of the Governor Small Business Advocacy\, in collaboration with the Rio South Texas Economic Development Community is co-hosting a free Small Business Summit on October 22\, 2009. The Rio South Texas Small Business Summit\, reception and luncheon are open to small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Rio South Texas region. \nVarious state agencies will be exhibiting and will be on hand to discuss potential contracts. Breakout sessions will also be held to inform business owners on issues such as Financing Business Growth & Expansion\, Finding and Developing a Capable Workforce\, Exporting\, Bonding and State Government Contracting.
