DESCRIPTION:The Consulate of Mexico in McAllen\, Texas\, and the International Museum of Art and Science of McAllen\, are pleased to invite everybody to the opening ceremony of the exhibit ''This is my Mexico''\, this coming Thursday\, October 1st\, at 6:00 p.m.\, at the Museum\, located in 1900 Nolana. \n\nThe exhibit includes the 80 winning paintings of the contest  ''This is my Mexico''\, that every year calls children between the ages of 7 and 11 from all over the world\, to express through drawing and painting what Mexico means for them.  The exhibit will run through November 15th.\n\nOn this occasion\, we are honored to have the 2008 winners\, and among those\, two McAllen natives: Karla and Cristina Morales Castillo\, who will be recognized during the ceremony. Local band La Mision will perform Mexican children's music\, and attendants will be able to appreciate the vision of children from all over the world on Mexico's culture\, art and history.
