Position description and work hours:
This is a full time, non-exempt position in a General Counsel and Civil Litigation law office with heavy software use in a networked environment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but extended hours and overtime are possible when circumstances require.
Job duties include:
Manage daily intake of general counsel legal issues from multiple governmental entities for Partner-in-charge and other attorneys, including routing and tracking completion of assignments within this office and among attorneys in the Firm’s other offices;
Generate and respond timely to email and paper correspondence;
Edit and finalize documents per attorney instructions;
Scan and digitally save documents, maintaining office protocol as to file organization;
Serve as back-up receptionist for 10 people using Nortel system.
Education and training required:
High school diploma at minimum; Legal Assistant certification or 2 year college degree is preferred;
Training in computer software (see Skills below).
Familiarity with law office environment and/or experience in position with similar duties preferred.

Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat DC;
Typing, copying, scanning and digital filing;
Familiarity with online e-filing is helpful.
