Are you interested in learning which companies do business with the Federal Government? ''CCR or Central Contractor's Registration'' is scheduled for January 27 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 311 E. Tyler in Harlingen. The workshop is sponsored by the Rio South Texas Regional Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at The University of Texas-Pan American. PTAC Director Mark Winchester encourages interested business owners to attend the workshop and get registered in the database. ''If you want to do business with the Federal Government, you must be registered in the CCR. Likewise, the CCR is marketing tool for your company. Every Federal Agency needing a product or service goes to the CCR to find the company that can provide the product or service they need. So, if you want to increase sales and grow your company, registering in the CCR is first step'' he adds. To register for this seminar, please contact the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce (956) 423-5440 or SBDC at (956) 292-7535.
