Chamber's Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet

The Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce’s biggest and most popular event of the year, our 2009 Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Casa de Amistad in Harlingen.  Each year, during this event, chamber members and guests celebrate the Chamber’s past year’s accomplishments, while recognizing outstanding community volunteers.

Guest speaker will be humorist Tumbleweed Smith, a graduate of Baylor with a BA degree in English, earned a Master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and studied law at Drake Unviersity.  A producer of THE SOUND OF TEXAS, Tumbleweed travels down small Texas roads to meet the characters and storytellers who live there.  He shares what he finds with audiences all over the country.
