For more than 25 years, Harlingen has held a Graduation Celebration for its seniors to celebrate their accomplishment with friends in a safe, drug and alcohol free environment. One of the unique things about our celebration is that parents and community members work together for the graduates of both Harlingen High Schools. Graduation Celebration 2010 will be held on Saturday, May 29th at the Casa De Amistad in Harlingen from 10pm – 3am. This celebration promises to be a memorable evening for all Harlingen graduates. For many, it will be the last time to celebrate with their classmates until their 10th reunion. There will be plenty of free food, dancing to the music of Instant Replay, sumo wrestling, rock climbing, casino, games, senior raffle drawing, Chinese Auction and chances at the money machine (for raffle ticket sellers). Graduates must stay until the end of the evening to receive the Chinese Auction prizes as well as the cash prizes totaling $5000.00. This is a wonderful way to celebrate with fellow classmates in a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment. This celebration could not take place without the fundraising from the senior raffle, outside donations from parents and community members and all the volunteer hours that make this event one of a kind! If you'd like to make a donation to ensure that this event, as well as those for future graduates, continues in this wonderful tradition, please send it to: Graduation Celebration, HCISD, 407 N. 77 Sunshine Strip, Harlingen, TX. 78550.
