Brownsville, Texas – On Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saint Joseph Academy will host a special presentation on the topic of bullying and cyber-bullying for parents and interested members of the community. The keynote speaker will be Ms. Barbara Jane ''BJ'' Paris. Ms. Paris will be speaking about signs for parents and others to look for in the case of their own children being bullied particularly through the use of the internet and other social media; as well as ways to prevent this national problem and intervene in their own schools and communities. The first hour (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM) is a social opportunity to meet the speaker, and the program will begin at 7:00 PM. The entire event is open to the public and is complimentary as a community service of the Academy's PATHS (Parents and Teachers Helping Students) Committee.
