TSTC CELEBRATES 21st ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST

EARLY Holiday FUN @ TSTC . . . TSTC CELEBRATES 21st ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST Texas State Technical College students will present their 21st annual Oktoberfest fall festival at the TSTC Athletic Field (corner of Rio Hondo Road and 29th Street) in Harlingen from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 27. There is no admission fee and there is plenty of parking space west of the TSTC Wellness & Sports Center right off of North Loop 499. There will be a face painting, balloon animals, rock wall climb, pony rides, jousts, kiddie ferris wheel, a large slide, bouncer, sumo wrestling, football toss, kiddie car rode, bungee trampoline and more. The free haunted house will be in the aerobics room of the TSTC Wellness & Sports Center. Costume contests will be held for children and adults. The Silver Spurs and Folklorico Club will provide live entertainment. Bring the camera because Nickelodeon cartoon character Scooby Doo will pose for pictures with youngsters. Bring your appetite, too. Student clubs will sell pizza, tacos, funnel cakes, candy apples, cotton candy, baked goods, corn in a cup, brisket sandwiches, Frito pies, fruit cups, kettle corn, hot dogs, bistec tacos, nachos, hot chocolate, chicarones with salsa and sour cream, mud pies, tostadas with salsa and cheese, pickles, hot Cheetos with cheese, sausage on a stick, tripa tacos, gummy bears and spiral potatoes.
