Boy Scouts Honor Todd Mann (Harlingen TX, April 11, 2011) – The Rio Grande Council, Boy Scouts of America will hold the ''2011 District Gala'' Dinner, on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum at 6:30PM. Todd Mann, CEO and President of Harlingen Medical Center will be honored as the seventh recipient of the ''Centennial Leadership Award,'' which will be presented at this benefit dinner. The ''Centennial Leadership Award'' has been designated by the Rio Grande Council of the Boy Scouts of America as an award to recognize a civic, community, or business leader who demonstrates patriotism, leadership, and service at a local, state, or national level. The candidate must also provide service and support to the character development of youth within Cameron County. Past honorees include Senator Eddie Lucio, Neal O. Simmons, Eddie Campirano, Monsignor Gustavo Barrera, Chris Boswell, Dr. Uvaldo Cantu, Col. Glenn Hill, and Judge Bennie Ochoa. The Honoree has been a long supporter of numerous youth programs and education in Cameron Country. Funds raised for this dinner will support the Boy Scouts of America in the Rio Grande Valley.
