Cameron County Master Gardeners are sponsoring an "EarthKind Landscaping and Gardening Seminar" on Saturday, April 24 from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Speakers will be on hand to present up-to the-minute gardening tips. The objective of Earth-Kind is to combine the best of organic and traditional gardening and landscaping principles to create a horticultural system based on real world effectiveness and environmental responsibility. Earth-Kind landscaping uses research proven techniques to provide maximum gardening and landscaping enjoyment while preserving and protecting our environment. TOPICS: Improving Existing Soils, Turf Management through Earth-Kind Management, South Texas Plants for Earth-Kind Gardening, Water Conservation, Earth-Kind Roses and Disease and Insect Management for the Earth-Kind Landscape. Question & Answer Panel will follow.
