Join the Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas Council 100 Years

The Greater South Texas council celebrates 100 years with an open house on September 8th. Join the Girl on September 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for an open house located at 202 E. Madison Avenue and learn more about this 100 year old organization which serves more than three million girls nationwide. The Harlingen Fire Department will be on hand with a fire truck, the Harlingen Police Department will have a police vehicle, the Coast Guard with a boat, and the Border Patrol with a canine and more. The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas serves more than 4,000 girls in the greater Harlingen area. Through Girl Scouts, these young women learn how to develop a strong sense of self, gain practical life skills, build healthy relationships, and are resourceful problem solvers.
