Wednesday, November 10: • Introduction to KTB & Guide to Affiliate Coordination (9:00 am - 12:00 pm) • Welcome and Introduction • Who and what is Keep Texas Beautiful? • Keep America Beautiful and the Behavior-Based Approach • Programs overview • Organizational Check-up • Fundraising 12:00-1:00 Lunch will be provided, courtesy of Harlingen Proud • Awards Training (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm) ? Tips and tools for planning and organizing award applications ? Understanding the judging process ? How to organize your community's application 4:00 – 6:00pm will be a tour of Harlingen's Beautification and Recycling Efforts for those interested in learning more about Harlingen Proud. Thursday, November 11: Fundraising (9:00 am - 12:00 pm) ? Raising money – not easy but simple ? Where to start ? Cultivating major givers ? Special events ? Recognition The training will be held at: Harlingen Public Library – Auditorium 410 '76 Drive Harlingen, Texas 78550 If you are new to KTB, looking for more information or a refresher, this is the training for you. Volunteers and board members are encouraged to attend! Attendance satisfies the training requirement for all KTB Affiliate Recognition levels (Good Standing, Silver Star, Gold Star).
